Product Description

We shall take care to ensure that all details relating to products on the website are correct at the time of your order. We endeavour to keep the website up to date but the information may not always reflect the exact position when you order.

Prices are in Pounds (£) Sterling, and include tax if applicable. VAT is only applicable to countries within the UK and European Union.

Placing an order

Orders may be placed using our online shop. Placing an order requires you to submit personal information. Please see our Privacy Notice overleaf for further information on how we process your data. You agree by placing an order that the information you provide is accurate and complete. If you order as a guest, we shall still ask you to enter certain information for processing your order. You will receive an e-mail notification from us to confirm that your order has been received. Please check your Junk folder in case the notification arrives there.

Payment

We cannot accept payment by cheque.

Delivery

Please see our website for current details of charges for delivery to UK, Europe and Rest of the world.

Despatch

We will endeavour to despatch your goods within 2 working days. UK customers should receive their items within 5 working days of the date of the order. Europe and the rest of the world customers should receive their order within 12-16 working days of the date of the order. If any item is out of stock, we will contact you to let you know when we expect to receive it. If you wish to cancel your order, please see the cancellation terms.

Changes and Cancellations

To make a change or cancellation after placing your order, please e-mail us at [email protected] or [email protected] with your order reference number.

The original debit or credit card used will be credited with the total price of the items, including any delivery charges. As long as the items have not already been sent to you, we shall process the refund within 20 working days following your cancellation in writing.

Returns and Refunds Policy

Should you wish to return an order that you have received from us, you must contact us within 14 days after the items have been received. If you have received damaged or incorrect items, or if you wish to return unwanted items, please notify us within the 14-day period in writing. Please quote your order reference number and contact [email protected] or [email protected]. Please return the items to us within 14 days from the notice of cancellation date.

· We recommend the items are returned by recorded delivery so that you have proof of postage.

· We cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

· We can only accept returns from the customer who originally purchased the items.

Items must be returned in their original packaging, stating the reason for the return and your customer reference number.

Please return items to Rutland County Museum, Catmose Street, Oakham, Rutland LE15 6HW. The items must be returned to us before we can make a refund. We will not be responsible for the cost of returning the items to us unless they are faulty or delivered to you in error. A refund of the delivery costs you have incurred when returning the items to us, no greater than the original delivery charge, will be given in the instance of incorrect, damaged or faulty items. A refund will be processed within 14 days. You may also return items by bringing them to us, with your customer reference number in person. A refund will be processed within 14 days.

We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on items of pierced jewellery unless they are faulty.

Limitation of Liability

We will not be liable for any business loss (including loss of profits, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure) or any other indirect or consequential loss that is not reasonably foreseeable by either party when the contract for sale is formed. Nothing in this Agreement shall limit Rutland County Museum’s or Oakham Castle’s liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or breach of duty.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by English law. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions or the contract between us.

Amendments

We reserve the right to alter, amend, add to or remove all or any part of this Policy Statement at any time without notice, and any changes to this Policy Statement or any other terms shown on our website apply with immediate effect of being published. By continuing to use our website after any changes are displayed you indicate your acceptance of those changes.
